How to connect a client to their NutriFit app account

A client record on its own is just a chart in your clinic. Once it is connected to the client's NutriFit app account, the client can see the meal program you prescribe, chat with your clinic, book follow-ups and keep a journal you can read during visits.

This guide explains how the connection works and the exact clicks on both sides.

How the connection works

There is no "invite by email" in NutriFit. The link is made with the mobile number:

Your client installs the NutriFit app and signs up with their phone number. They confirm it with an SMS code.

In your dashboard, you add the client using the same number. NutriFit finds their account.

You request approval. The client taps Approve in their app.

You link the record, and both sides are connected.

The client stays in control. Nothing is shared with your clinic until they approve, and records are linked rather than merged, so each clinic keeps its own chart.

Step 1: Ask the client to create their app account

Send the client this short message:

Install the NutriFit app, tap Sign Up, and register with the mobile number we have on file: +970 5X XXX XXXX. You will get an SMS code to confirm it.

Guide 8 walks clients through this in detail. The important part is that the number matches what you will type.

Step 2: Add the client by phone number

Open Clients and click Add Client.

Type the client's number with the country code, for example +970599123456.

Wait for Checking for an existing record… to finish.

NutriFit shows a match card with the person's initials, name and number, and one of three badges.

"App user"

The client has an app account. This is the case you want.

Click Request approval. You will see Approval request sent.

The button changes to Waiting, and the status reads "Approval requested in the patient's app". The client also appears in the Awaiting app approval list at the top of your Clients page.

The client gets a push notification and a card on their app home screen: Connection Request Received. They open it and tap Approve or Reject.

When they approve, your screen updates on its own: "Patient approved. Ready to link." Click Link & use. You will see Client linked to this clinic.

If they decline, you will see "Patient declined. Confirm with them, then resend." Talk to the client, then click Resend.

"Offline record"

Another clinic created this record and the person has not claimed it in the app yet. You can still attach it to your clinic:

Ask the client for permission to share their records.

Tick Client gave verbal consent to share their records.

Click Link & use.

If you skip the checkbox, NutriFit shows "Confirm verbal consent first". The consent is recorded with your name.

"In your clinic"

The record is already yours. Click Use record and carry on.

Step 3: Check the connection

Open the client's profile. From now on:

Programs you set to Active appear in the client's app under Today's Meals.

The client can start a chat with your clinic, and you can message them from Messages.

Journal entries they write in the app show in the Journal section of every encounter.

Another way clients connect: booking

When a client books you from the NutriFit app, they are connected to your clinic automatically. If most of your clients find you through the app, you may rarely need the approval flow at all. Keep your clinic listed and your schedule open (see Guide 1).

What if I created the record before the client installed the app?

Create the record as usual. When the client later signs up with the same number, ask them to book a visit with you through the app, which connects them to your clinic. Matching of older records to new app accounts is being rolled out in the app, so this will get simpler.

Privacy notes for your team

Only request approval for people who are actually your clients.

The verbal consent checkbox is a record of consent. Use it only when the client really said yes.

Any clinic member can link records, so agree on who at the front desk handles this.
