How your nutrition program reaches your client
You have documented the visit and saved a program. Here is what the client sees, how to make sure it lands, and how to keep the conversation going between visits.
The three conditions
A program shows up in the client's NutriFit app when all three are true:
The client is connected. Their app account is linked to your clinic (Guide 3), either through an approved connection request or because they booked you from the app.
The program is Active. Draft programs are yours alone. Open the program, set Status to Active, and save.
The meal dates cover today. Each meal has a start date and an optional end date. The app shows the current week.
What the client sees
On the app home screen, a Today's Meals card shows how many meals are scheduled today and a Next Meal banner with the title and time. Tapping it opens Meal Program:
The program name, description, an Active badge, and the start and end dates.
A Monday to Sunday week bar with a meal count per day.
For the selected day, one card per meal with the time, the title and your Meal Content text.
That is the whole plan, in your words, in their pocket. Before a client's first day, open the program yourself and read the meal content as they will.
Tell the client it is there
NutriFit does not send an automatic notification when you save a program. The best way to announce it, and to answer questions later, is a message.
Open Messages in the sidebar.
Click New chat, then Choose a client to start a conversation. Search by name.
Write your message and click Send.
The client receives a push notification on their phone titled "New Message from {your name}" with the first line of your text. They can reply from the Chat tab in the app, and your reply thread updates in real time. The provider who opened the thread gets a push when the client replies.
A good first message:
Your program is now active in the app. Tap "Today's Meals" to see it. Start tomorrow with breakfast. Message me here if any meal is hard to follow.
To get browser notifications for client replies, open Settings → Notifications and enable them.
What comes back from the client
Journal. Clients can write daily journal entries in the app. Every entry is shared with their connected clinics and appears, read-only, in the Journal section of each encounter. Use it to open the next visit: "You wrote that lunch on Tuesdays is the hard one."
Bookings. Clients book follow-ups from the app. New bookings show on your dashboard under Needs attention → Waiting for confirmation with Confirm and Reject. The client receives a notification when the appointment is booked, confirmed or cancelled.
Visit history. In the app's History tab, clients see their weight, muscle and body fat trends from the measurements you record, plus an Encounter Timeline with the date, clinic, provider and notes of each visit. Measurements come only from your encounters, so recording them each visit is what builds the client's chart.
What the client does not see
Clinical notes, diagnoses, vitals and uploaded files stay inside your clinic. The client sees programs, appointments, messages, their own journal and the history summary. Clients cannot mark meals as eaten yet, so ask them about adherence in chat or in the journal.
Day-one checklist
Client is connected (badge "In your clinic" or linked after approval)
Program status is Active
Meal start dates are set to the first day
You sent a welcome message from Messages
Follow-up appointment booked or the client knows how to book
